Senator Cynthia Villar has been caught on video berating a security guard and his superior, who allegedly refused to remove metal barriers on a road in Las Piñas City.
The video, which has gone viral, showed Villar ordering the guard to remove the barricades.
“Tanggalin mo!” she repeatedly told the guard.
“Ako nagtanggal ng lahat ng squatter dito. Hindi ko nga ito napakinabangan eh, ngayon eh ikaw na ngayon ang masusunod.”
At one point, the guard’s superior asked Villar not to hurt his colleague.
In response, the senator said, “Hindi ko sinasaktan ang guard n’yo. Bakit kaya ko bang saktan ‘yan? Ano ‘yan bakla, kaya kong saktan?”
It was not immediately clear whether the guards complied with the senator’s demand.
Villar has yet to issue a statement about the incident, which drew mixed reactions online.
