CHIE Filomeno has proved that perseverance and patience really pay off after finally signing a network contract with ABS-CBN, 11 years after she broke into showbiz.
In an instagram post, Filomeno recalled how she would be asked why she had not given up on her dreams even if her peers had already surpassed her achievements.
She would then reply that she did not want to waste her and her parents’ hard work, and had faith that these would pay off.
“I know my time will come at habang wala pa yun, I will work hard as much as I can and clap for others because they are also my inspiration,” she wrote.
The actress also expressed excitement about the opportunities that would come her way and the experiences that she would have.
“Salamat po sa pagytaya sa akin, hindi ko po kayo bibiguin,” she said.
During her contract signing, the 26-year-old Filomeno turned emotional as she expressed gratitude for the network’s decision to sign her up after more than a decade.
“The feeling is overwhelming. As in no words can describe what I am feeling right now kasi the journey that I had was really a rollercoaster ride. I wouldn’t trade it for anything else, kasi ang dami kong natutunan,” she said.
