Class suspensions for July 24, Wednesday

Classes will be suspended anew on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

This is due to bad weather that is continuing to affect many areas in Luzon mainly due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) that is being enhanced by Typhoon Carina.

This prompted some local government units to cancel classes for Wednesday, July 24, 2024. 

Among them include: Kawit, Cavite (all levels, public and private); Biñan, Laguna (all levels, public and private); San Pedro, Laguna (all levels, public and private); and in Itbayat, Batanes (work is suspended in government offices until July 25)

In Metro Manila, those that declared were Caloocan (all levels, public and private); Las Piñas (all levels, public and private); Malabon (all levels, public and private); Muntinlupa (all levels, public and private); Navotas (all levels, public and private); Parañaque (all levels, public and private); Pasay City (all levels, public and private); San Juan City – all levels, public and private.

In the provinces include Baguio City (all levels, public and private); Batanes (work is suspended in government offices until July 25); Batangas City (all levels, public and private); Biñan, Laguna – all levels, public and private; Bulakan, Bulacan (all levels, public and private); Calamba, Laguna (all levels, private); Cavite (all levels, public and private); Cuenca, Batangas (all levels, public and private); Laguna province (all levels, public and private); Lian, Batangas (all levels, public and private); Magsingal, Ilocos Sur (all levels, public and private); Morong, Rizal (all levels, public and private); San Antonio, Zambales (all levels, public and private); San Pedro, Laguna (all levels, public and private); Santa Cruz, Laguna (all levels, public and private); Sto. Tomas, Batangas (face-to-face classes suspended from elementary to Grade 12, public and private); Tanay, Rizal (all levels, public and private); Tanauan City, Batangas (all levels, public and private); Tubao, La Union (all levels, public and private); Tuy, Batangas (all levels, public and private).

The universities that declared were the University of Santo Tomas (remote work arrangement, onsite student activities are suspended) and Polytechnic University of the Philippines Sta. Mesa campus – postponement of enrollment for freshmen students.
