AUSTRALIAN actor Chris Hemsworth will be coming to the Philippines this June as part of his global world tour for his forthcoming film Extraction 2.
In a tweet, streaming service Netflix Philippines announced that the Extraction 2 Global Tour will kick off in Manila on June 5 to 6.
Hemsworth will also be visiting other countries including Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, the United States, and Brazil.
“I’m filling you in on some pretty exciting news. I’m coming to the Philippines soon,” the actor said in a video shared by Netflix Philippines on Twitter.

“I’ll be flying to Manila this June for the premiere of Extraction 2, where I play Tyler Rake. I don’t want you to miss out, so please come join me,” he added.
The sequel for the blockbuster hit Extraction will be available on Netflix starting June 16.
The film is directed by Sam Hargrave, with Joe and Anthony Russo’s AGBO producing and Joe Russo writing.
Aside from Hemsworth, the Extraction 2 cast includes Olga Kurylenko, Golshifteh Farahani, Daniel Bernhardt, and Tinatin Dalakishvili among others.
About the film
Extraction 2 follows Tyler Rake’s story as he attempts to save a family from a Georgian gangster by infiltrating one of the world’s deadliest prisons.
The first Extraction film is a 2020 thriller that narrates the adventures of Rake, a black-market mercenary and former Australian Special Air Service Regiment soldier who is hired to rescue the kidnapped son of an international crime lord.
The plot revolves around Rake being tasked with rescuing Ovi Mahajan Jr. (played by Rudhraksh Jaiswal), the young son of an imprisoned Indian drug lord.
Ovi is kidnapped by Amir Asif (played by Priyanshu Painyuli), a rival crime lord who aims to take control of the drug empire.
Rake must then navigate the dangerous underworld of weapons dealers and drug traffickers in Dhaka, Bangladesh, while trying to protect Ovi and bring him home safely.
