MILLIONS of Filipinos are devotees of the Black Nazarene who make sure not to miss the annual traditional traslacion or pahalik held in the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene or more popularly known as Quiapo Church.
These Filipinos include celebrities who had joined other devotees in the procession for the Black Nazarene or perform or speak during activities related to the observance of the event.
These personalities also serve as inspiration to many Filipinos to keep their faith in the Nazarene.
Coco Martin
Some people may not know it, but the FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano star is among the millions of Filipinos who is a faithful devotee of the Black Nazarene.
He had joined the processions for the image in previous years and also revealed that his prayers had been granted.
Angeline Quinto
The singing diva is not only a devotee at the Baclaran Church but also a faithful one to the Quiapo Church.
Quinto had been visiting Quiapo even before she rose to fame. She became a devotee after her healing prayer for her late mother was granted, and then she got her own replica of the Black Nazarene in her own house.
Aiai Delas Alas
The comedienne Aiai Delas Alas was a regular goer of the annual event before the pandemic hit.
During the overnight vigil in January 2020, the actress talked about her faith in God and the importance of keeping it.
She even posted a photo on her Instagram about her devotion to the Nazarene.

Melai and Jason Francisco
The showbiz couple considers the commemoration of the feast of the Nazarene as the “me time” of their relationship.
In their Instagram post in 2018, the couple shared a selfie showing the image of the Black Nazarene behind them with a caption thanking the Lord for the blessings they have received.

Former Hashtag member McCoy de Leon is a proud devotee of the Black Nazarene. This was inspired by his father who is also a believer in the miraculous image.
The actor also regularly joined traditional “pahalik” for the Black Nazarene.
