JENNIE Kim is about to become the newest sapphic killer in town as she is reportedly portraying a queer character in HBO’s forthcoming series called The Idol.
The BLACKPINK member has long been rumored to be playing a bisexual character after the release of the series’ teasers.

Jennie will star as a supporting character named Angel. Other details regarding her participation in the series are yet to be released.
In several snippets from the American series, Jennie can be seen hanging out multiple times with another Lily-Rose Depp, another cast member of The Idol. She can also be observed looking fondly at Lily-Rose in a spicy bathtub scene where the two sit half-naked within the frame.

The Idol is set to premiere in June 2023 and will star Abel Tesfaye, (a.k.a. The Weeknd), Troye Sivan, Dan Levy, and Suzanna Son to name a few.

Since the announcement of Jennie’s involvement in The Idol, BLACKPINK fans, also called BLINKS, have been speculating about the artist’s character’s sexuality in this HBO series.
This discussion resurfaced after a Twitter user posted a screenshot from an alleged Flaunt Magazine article that confirms that Jennie’s character in The Idol is bisexual.
BLINKS expressed their excitement about this development as it is rare for a KPop idol to be associated with the LGBTQIA+ community.
The fans also showed their warm support towards Jennie as this would be her first acting stint since she debuted as a singer and rapper along with other BLACKPINK members Rosé, Jisoo, and Lisa.
