State seismologists have recorded at least 35 aftershocks following the magnitude 6.3 earthquake that hit Calatagan, Batangas, on Thursday.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) on Friday, the magnitude of these aftershocks ranged from 1.4 to 3.1.
In an update, PHIVOLCS said Thursday’s tectonic quake occurred 11 kilometers southwest of Calatagan at a depth of 108 kilometers.
There were no reports of major damage from the quake that was felt in Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
