FANS of actress Anne Curtis were elated as the Filipino-Australian host hinted about a possible return to acting stint.
Curtis replied to a tweet from a fan Monday requesting her to return to acting. “Magdrama ka na ulit please?”
The “Showtime” host teased her fans, saying “ready na me” in response to the supporter.
The tweet was attached to a snap from her recent “Showtime Magpasikat” entry, the anniversary special of the daily noontime variety show “Showtime.”
“Hi bye, Mama feels, but seriously, wait nalang for next year,” she wrote in her initial reply.
Curtis is an avid Koreanovela fan.
“Hi Bye, Mama” is a hit K-Drama series that aired in 2020 starring Kim Tae-hee, Lee Kyoo-hyung and Go Bo-gyeol.
Will there be a Filipino adaptation for “Hi Bye, Mama?”
Fans speculate that Curtis is a good fit for the second wife role, portrayed by Go Bo-gyeol.
The Korean series is about a woman who died and became a ghost, then eventually was given another chance at life for only 49 days, appearing in front of her remarried husband and own daughter.
In another tweet, the TV host-actress also looked back on her role in “Maging Sino Ka Man,” which aired in 2006.
“I miss celine!!” she said, quoting a tweet of another user saying they miss watching the actress in a primetime series.
Curtis started her TV career in 1997 in the TV drama series “Ikaw Na Sana,” which was followed by some minor roles in shows such as “Beh Bote Nga”, “Anna Karanenina” and “Idol ko si Kap”
She rose to fame in 2005 for the fantasy TV series “Kampanerang Kuba,” which was directed by the late director Wenn Deramas.
Her roles in “Dyosa” and “Dyesebel” were also hits and made her more popular in the industry.
