Seven percent of the 1,200 respondents said they were looking for work in other countries.
The top countries where one aspires to work are the following:
- Canada (16%)
- Saudi Arabia (12%)
- Kuwait (9%)
- the United Arab Emirates (9%)
- Japan (7%)
- Qatar (6%)
- the United States (6%)
The survey also indicated that 7% of households have a member who is an overseas Filipino worker (OFW), who often sends money (according to 75% of these respondents).
The poll results were based on face-to-face interviews with Filipinos aged 18 and above across the country. It had a sampling error margin of ±2.8%.
