A concert date for Valentine’s anyone?

For the hopeless romantics out there, there is no shortage of ideas to make sure your Valentine’s Day celebrations are perfect. 

There’s a list of things to do that you might have eagerly prepared in the hopes that you’ll be in your partner’s good graces come the 14th. But if you have a little more extra saved to seal the deal, perhaps adding a concert date will do just the trick.

Here are some of the concerts scheduled for this month. You may have to break the bank, but it may be worth your while. 

Backstreet Boys – February 20 or Westlife – February 20 and 21

For starters, how can you go wrong with a couple of huge boy bands from the 90s who are coming to town this February? Competing for your attention are the Backstreet Boys and Westlife on February 20. 

The Backstreet Boys are performing at the Mall of Asia Arena, while Westlife will be at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. As of today, the February 20 date for Westlife has been sold out, but you have the option to buy tickets for the 21st instead. 

If you want to go all out for your date, why not watch both concerts on consecutive days? You may be able to create some wonderful memories watching them perform the classics. From the Backstreet boys, these are: Quit playing Games, I want it that way, As long as you love me. From Westlife, these are: If I let you go, I wanna grow old with you, Why do I love you and so many more.

Conan Gray – February 18

This TikTok star became huge for a song he uploaded in 2020 called Heather. Now is the chance for his Filipino fans to see him live at the Mall of Asia Arena.

One Republic – February 23 

After six years, One Republic is coming back to Manila to play its hits Counting Stars, Apologize, Goodlife, Stop and Stare and so much more at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. It is one of the most anticipated concerts for the month. 

Boyce Avenue – February 11, 12, 14

Youtube stars turned pop sensations Boyce Avenue are visiting the country  for a series of concerts starting at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on February 11. The members will then head to Cebu to perform at the Waterfront Hotel on February 12 and will fly to Davao City for their performance at the SMX Convention Center on the 14th.

Regine Velasquez – February 17, 18, 24, 25

You shouldn’t miss the chance to check out Asia’s Songbird this love month. She has a series of concerts at the Performing Arts Theater in Circuit City Makati. 

Gary Valenciano – February 14 – 15

Mr. Pure Energy has an amazing catalog of songs that will not only get you bitten by the love bug but a dose of nostalgia as well. Each Passing Night, Sana Maulit Muli, What More Can I Say are some of his all-time favorites. Expect romance in the air and a trip down memory lane at the Newport Performing Arts Theater. 

Tingog ng Pasasalamat Concert – February 12, 17, 25

This thank you concert by Tingog Partylist is traveling to four cities: Cebu, Tagum, Quezon City and Tacloban. The concert features Andrew E and Karla Estrada with guest performance from Bamboo.

Arman Ferrer – February 14

Another Chance Valentine’s day with Arman Ferrer is at the BGC Arts Center. The concert is for the benefit of Angat Buhay.

The Company – February 14

After the launch of their 29th studio album, the Company scheduled a Valentine concert at the Music Museum. Expect a performance of some of the songs from their new album and the classics. 

All Heart Valentine concert – February 14

Finally, this features some of the country’s all-time greats. Apo Hiking Society, Wency Cornejo of After Image, Raymond Lauchengco, Roselle Nava and Ito Rapadas of Neocolors will perform at the Philippine International Convention Center.
