Around 8 in 10 Filipinos believe the country is headed in the right direction based on the policy pronouncements and programs implemented by the Marcos administration, a new poll by OCTA Research has found.

Face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adult respondents indicated that 76% of them believed that the country was headed in the right direction, 10% disagreed, and 13% said they didn’t know.

The first quarter poll result represents a decline of 9 percentage points when compared to the survey in October 2022, where 85% said the Philippines was moving in the right direction.

“The decline in the overall percentage of adult Filipinos who think that the country is headed in the right direction from last quarter was due to the consistent decreases across major areas and socioeconomic classes,” OCTA said.
