Who would have thought that it’s been seven years since Maymay Entrata captured the hearts of many Filipinos for her irresistible charm and genuine personality when she participated in a popular reality television series?
From being the “Miss Wacky-Go-Lucky of Cagayan De Oro,” Entrata has traveled far in her career to become one of the most popular young celebrities in Philippine show business.
The young multi-hyphenate has successfully placed dozens of projects under her name, which highlight her talents in acting, singing, dancing, hosting, and even modeling.
To celebrate her seventh year in the entertainment industry, let’s take a look back on these career milestones that Entrata has so far achieved:
PBB winner
Entrata’s showbiz career began when she joined the reality television show, Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky Season 7, where she lived with various housemates from all walks of life to complete various tasks given by the house’s head, “Big Brother,” whom they also called “Kuya.”
The seventh season saw 31 housemates from three batches — teen, regular, and celebrity — competing for the title of Lucky Big Winner. Entrata, who was from the teen batch, emerged as the winner at the end of the show.
In her winning speech in 2017, Entrata encouraged everyone to not be afraid to dream.
New Movie Actress nominee
Entrata walked the talk and continued to pursue her dreams. Months after her PBB win, she landed her first lead role in the romantic-comedy film “Loving in Tandem.”
She played the role of a happy-go-lucky girl named Sunshine Camantigue, who is willing to do anything for the sake of her family. She was paired with her PBB co-housemate, Edward Barber, in the movie.
Her performance in “Loving in Tandem” earned her a nomination for New Movie Actress of the Year at the 2018 PMPC Star Awards for Movies.
‘Dream Tour’
The actress then entered the music scene, releasing her self-titled debut album in 2017.
The album’s success led her to her first-ever solo concert, “The Dream Tour,” held in February 2018 at the Kia Theatre (now New Frontier Theatre) in Quezon City.
Entrata also performed in Baguio and Cebu following her sold-out Manila concert.
Arab Fashion Week
Entrata made headlines in November 2018 when she became the first Filipino celebrity to walk the Arab Fashion Week runway.
The actress-singer slayed her international catwalk as one of the muses of Dubai-based designer Furne One for his Amato Couture Fashion Show. The distinguished designer has dressed several international superstars, including Beyonce, Britney Spears, and Jennifer Lopez.
Entrata, meanwhile, described such an opportunity to work with Furne One as a “huge honor.”
Isang malaking karangalan po wala nako masabi kundi maraming maraming salamat po 😭❤️

International magazine cover
From the runway, the young star graced the cover of Dubai-based luxury magazine Xpedition with her breathtaking photos taken in Jebel Jais, the highest peak in the United Arab Emirates.
The magazine released three different covers of Entrata on its Instagram account, which coincided with the actress’ 24th birthday on May 6, 2021.
“Cocooned in a monitored home where she first opened her heart, she graced an international fashion show where she dignified art… vindicating a journey of lessons that she learned from above… and glorifying the quintessence of her true, Higher Love,” Xpedition said of Entrata in its caption.
MTV EMAs nominee
Entrata also earned an international nomination at the 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA).
The “Amakabogera” singer was the only Filipino act who landed in the Best Asia Act category, where she competed with Indonesian singer-songwriter NIKI, K-pop boy group TOMORROW x TOGETHER, Thai-Italian singer-songwriter SILVY, and J-pop vocal and dance group The Rampage from Exile Tribe.
Despite not winning the award, Entrata thanked her fans, whose support helped her achieve the nomination.
Study abroad
The 26-year-old artist ticked off another item from her bucket list when she fulfilled her dream of studying abroad.
Entrata shared with ABS-CBN’s “Magandang Buhay” in June 2023 that she took up an acting program in Canada. This helped her become more mature as she experienced living independently.
“Parang bumalik ako sa [pagiging] estudyante, yung normal na routine po dati nung naging college po ako sa Cagayan De Oro,” the actress added.
She returned to the Philippines in June 2022.
