Soul (2020)

The movie narrates the story of two young sea monsters named Luca and Alberto who live in the waters off the coast of a small Italian town. 

Despite warnings from their families about the dangers of the human world, the two friends venture onto land and disguise themselves as human boys. They then experience the joys and wonders of life above the water.

As they participate in a local race and make new friends, Luca and Alberto must also navigate the challenges of keeping their true identities hidden and avoiding capture by the town’s fearful residents.

The film was released in November 2021 in theaters and later on Disney+.

The movie follows the Madrigal family, who live in a magical Colombian town called Encanto. Everyone possesses a unique magical power except for the youngest member of the family, Mirabel. 

When the magic that powers the town begins to fade, it’s up to Mirabel to discover the truth behind the family’s past and restore the magic before it’s too late.

The film has been praised for its stunning animation, catchy songs, and celebration of Latin culture and traditions.

Turning Red (2022)

The film follows a 13-year-old girl named Mei who experiences the awkward and challenging time of puberty while also dealing with a unique family curse.

Whenever she gets too excited or emotional, she transforms into a giant red panda. Mei must then learn to control her emotions and navigate through the challenges of growing up, all while trying to break the curse that has plagued her family for generations.

Turning Red is a gentle reminder that change is okay and that it helps people in discovering and establishing their true identity. It also teaches its viewers that being good isn’t about putting aside the bad traits but rather living with these.
