P-POP boy group SB19 is making history! 

The Filipino band and global phenomenon debuted on Billboard Philippines by posing for their maiden issue, which will be released on October 15.   

According to Billboard, SB19’s debut on Billboard’s chart was on the Social 50 tally in December 2019, reaching a No. 2 peak in August 2020. 

As of writing, Billboard Philippines’ post has gained around 62,000 likes. The comments section of the post was filled with SB19 fans’ love and support.  

An Instagram user pointed out how SB19 is the first Filipino and Southeast Asian to be nominated on Billboard Music Awards, while a fan proclaimed that the Philippines is “now the future.”

A fan from Mexico also showed support to SB19 by saying that it’s “Day 48,” manifesting for the boy band to go to Mexico. 

Meanwhile, another netizen said that SB19 should be referred to as a “Global Phenomenon” on the Billboard Philippines post. 

The P-pop supergroup consists of 5 members: Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken and Justin. The group recently launched their first podcast “Atin Atin Lang,” which can be streamed on Spotify.  

On October 28, SB19 will host a fan meet to celebrate their fifth anniversary. The event is set to happen at Araneta Coliseum at 7 pm. 

SB19 also announced last week the upcoming launch of their own company, 1Z Entertainment.
