Leila Salaverria had been a longtime print reporter before she moved to digital media.

She writes about politics, legislation, human rights, social justice, and human interest issues.

She has a journalism degree from the University of the Philippines and worked briefly in public relations before she joined the Philippine Daily Inquirer. She produced news and feature stories and investigative reports for the paper.

She had won awards from the Catholic Mass Media Awards and had been a finalist in the Jaime V. Ongpin Awards for Excellence in Journalism.
