Nikki Huang is not just making a name in the world of fashion, she is also making her mark in the world of academia.
Huang, the heiress of Rustan’s and Stores Specialist Inc., has excelled in her studies. In May, she graduated with honors from Boston University with a sociology degree and was recognized for having an outstanding senior thesis.
On Instagram, she shared a photo from her graduation with the caption, “It was a wild four years but I did it 👩🎓 Excited to announce that I was also awarded Outstanding Senior Thesis and Departmental Honors!”

Her academic achievement did not end there, because she also received the College of Arts and Sciences Michael A. Sassano Prize for writing excellence in the social sciences from Boston University.
Last August 27, she was one of the chosen 20 honor students to attend the American Sociological Association in the World annual meeting. The ASA is made for people who are interested in sociology and the national professional membership association for sociology who aims to serve the sociologist, and its contribution to society.
She is set to attend the University of Chicago in fall to pursue her Masters in Social Science.

Outside of her studies, Huang is the head of communications for Mind You MHS National Youth Council, a mental health care that provides solutions and creates safe space for the people.
She is the daughter of SSI President Anton Huang, and Nina Huang, and the granddaughter of Nedy Tantoco, the CEO of Rustan Commercial Corporation and SSI.
Given this pedigree, it’s no surprise that this 23-year-old Gen Z is also slaying in the field of fashion!
She appeared in Paris fashion week in 2022 together with international fashion icon Heart Evangelista, where they were seen wearing stylish OOTDs.
