And while everyone was required to stay at home, another pandemic of disinformation plagued the internet. Filipino doctors stepped up and took the plunge of going online to help in disseminating the right information.
Many turned out to be very good not just with their scalpels, but on cameras as well.

On YouTube, he has 79.4k subscribers on YouTube, 126k followers on Instagram and an impressive 3.4 million on Facebook and 4.1 million on Tiktok.
2. Richard Mata
This Davao-based pediatrician is also a motivational speaker. Apart from his medical talks on social media, people are also enjoying his bonding time with his family, especially his Tiktok entries with his kids.
On YouTube he has 102k subscribers, 1.2 million followers on Facebook and 38.5k on Tiktok. He too already had a Tiktok entry that reached over 1 million views.
3. Dr. Vicki Belo
Does she still need introduction?
The famous doctor-to-the-stars isn’t someone who’s a newbie in the fame world. But in the vlogging world, she is still fairly new.
She mostly gives medically-proven tips on how to make one’s skin and overall wellness and beauty. Oftentimes, she debunks age-old beauty hacks that hold no scientific basis.
She is of course a well-known dermatologist who owns the Belo Medical Group. She has over 1.27 subscribers on YouTube, 2.2 million followers on Facebook, 3.3 million on Instagram and 2.5 million on Tiktok
4. Doc Yappy
Doc Eric Yapjuanco is a board-certified plastic surgeon who people online go to for a wide array of issues and concerns mostly about beauty, corrective surgery, enhancements and many more.
On Instagram he has 315k followers on Instagram and 1.4 million on Tiktok.
5. Dr. Lyien Ho
Dr. Lien Ho is a primary care physician and a licensed physical therapist.
You often see her as the bubbly doctor who discusses various medical issues that are commonly asked by netizens.
She has also endorsed and partnered with various brands as seen on her Instagram.
She now has 538k followers on Tiktok.
6. Doc Dex Mallari
Doctor Dex Mallari is your ob-GUY-ne at your CERVIX [how he introduces himself on Tiktok].
While it is quite unusual for people to hear of males practicing obstetrics and gynecology, they’re quite a lot actually.
On his social platforms, he discusses various reproductive issues including cult favorite sexual topics.
On Instagram, he has 11.9k followers and 846.9k followers on Tiktok.
