PAGASA issues thunderstorm advisory from NCR and other areas

SUMMER rain?

While the sweltering temperature is might be felt across the country with the Philippines being painted red due to the extreme weather condition, state weather forecasters had us checking and re-reading their statement: there is a chance of rain today.

As of 3:38 P.M., PAGASA said that there is a chance of rain due to thunderstorms in Metro Manila.

Aside from the National Capital Region, the state weather forecasters said that such possibilities of being drenched during the hot weather include Quezon, Laguna, Zambales, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bataan and Batangas within the next 2 hours.

Presently, PAGASA said that as of this writing, heavy to Intense rain showers with lightning and strong winds are being experienced in Cavite (Silang, Indang, Amadeo, General Trias, Trece Martires, Tanza, Naic, Magallanes, Maragondon, Ternate, General Emilio Aguinaldo).

It is also being experienced in Bulacan(San Jose del Monte, Santa Maria, Pandi, Norzagaray, Angat) and Rizal (Rodriguez) which may persist within 2 hours and may affect nearby areas.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.
