GRAMMY award-winning singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo announced on Thursday, May 9, the Asia and Australia dates for her anticipated “GUTS World Tour,” which included Manila.

Rodrigo, a Filipino-American, expressed her happiness over the Europe leg of her tour, and her excitement for her upcoming tours in Asia and Australia, through an Instagram post with the caption, “europe leg of the GUTS world tour has been wonderful so far!!!! so much luv for everyone who has been coming 2 jump and sing and scream!!! Asia and Australia dates just announced!!! hope to see ya there!!!”

She also revealed the dates of her tour’s Asia and Australia legs and, although the official date has yet to be announced, she teased Filipino fans about an upcoming tour in the Philippines by saying, “Stay tuned, Manila!”

Rodrigo began her tour’s Europe leg on April 30 in Dublin, Ireland. It will end on June 22 in Lisbon, Portugal, with her special guest Remi Wolf.

Filipino “Livies”—her fanbase name—flocked to the Facebook post of event-organizing firm Philippine Concerts and shared their excitement for Rodrigo’s upcoming concert in Manila.

They also poked fun at the idea of P-pop group “BINI” as her Manila tour guest, referencing the name of Rodrigo’s special guest in Australia, the singer-songwriter BENEE.

It can be recalled that on March 31, concert promoter Live Nation Philippines posted an Easter greeting card hinting of international artists who will hold tours in the country, through Easter eggs designs that included Tate Mcrae, Conan Gray, and Rodrigo.

Rodrigo’s world tour is named after her sophomore album “GUTS,” which was released on September 8, 2023, and has since earned six nominations in the 66th Annual Grammy Awards namely: Album of the Year and Best POP Vocal Album; Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best POP Solo Performance for the track “Vampire”; and Best Rock Song for the track “Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl.”

Additionally, Rodrigo’s debut album “Sour” won the Best Pop Vocal Album, Best New Artist, and Best Pop Solo Performance for her single “drivers license.”

Rodrigo began her showbiz career at the age of 12 when she appeared in her first big commercial for Old Navy, and her screen debut at 13 in the Disney show “Bizaardvark,” where she played the role Paige Olvera. Her biggest acting role to date is her starring in the 2019 series “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.”
