by Malou Talosig-Bartolome

It’s Sunday, fun day, family day. And according to state weather forecaster Pagasa, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies. There will be sporadic rain showers or thunderstorms.

What’s causing the localized thunderstorms?

Possible flash floods or landslides may threaten affected areas during severe thunderstorms.

A thunderstorm advisory was issued in the following Mindanao provinces around 540 am today — Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-tawi, Sarangani, Davao Occidental and South Cotabato.

Also around 1:55am, Pagasa also issued an advisory of moderate to occasionally heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds in the towns of Lallo and Santa Teresita in Cagayan, and Maconacon in Isabela.
