THE SOCCSKSARGEN region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro region, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with rain showers and thunderstorms today, so residents in these areas better get their umbrellas ready.
There is a possibility of flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration.
Why is it rainy?
The state weather bureau said these areas are affected by an inter-tropical convergence zone, a belt of converging trade winds which brings cloudy skies and rains.
The clouds are expected to start clearing up tonight up to early the next day.
The rest of the country
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
There is also the possibility of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Pagasa said it is not monitoring any low pressure area that could affect any part of the country.
Coastal waters
Extreme northern Luzon and the eastern section of Luzon and Visayas will have moderate coastal waters today. Wind speed will be moderate as well.
The rest of the country will have slight to moderate coastal waters and wind speed will be light to moderate.
Temperature check
The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 32 to 25 degrees Celsius, while for Tuguegarao it will be from 33 to 24 degrees Celsius.
In Baguio, it will range from 24 to 17 degrees Celsius and for Tagaytay, from 29 to 22 degrees Celsius. In Legazpi, it will be from 31 to 25 degrees Celsius.
The temperature in Cebu, Tacloban, and Iloilo will be from 31 to 27 degrees Celsius.
For Zamboanga, it will be from 32 to 25 degrees Celsius, for Cagayan de Oro 30 to 25 degrees Celsius, and for Davao City, 31 to 25 degrees Celsius.
Visayas forecast
