SECOND-GENERATION K-pop stans could not contain their excitement after girl group 2NE1 announced their return to the music scene with a much-awaited world tour.
Of course, Filipino blackjacks, or 2NE1’s fans, want to have a Manila leg of the tour. Even 2NE1 member Sandara Park hopes so, too.
On X (formerly Twitter), a fan tagged Sandara’s account and said that they wish to see the Philippines in the list of countries the K-pop girl group will visit for their tour.
Sandara, popularly known in the country as the Pambansang Krung Krung, replied, “Marami pa bang PH Blackjacks?! That is one of my wish syempre.”

Despite disbanding in 2016, the fan assured that many Filipino blackjacks still support 2NE1.
“OMG ate ito yung bansang pinalaki ng 2NE1 para na nga naming second national anthem yang mga kanta niyo kaya madaming blackjacks dito,” they replied.
Other fans agreed with this and said they never left the fandom.
“Hindi po nawala ati… patiently waiting sa inyo,” one fan said.
Another fan quipped, “Dara, isang dekada na ang lumipas. May pera na kami. Kayo na lang inaantay namin.”
A social media user commented that most fans, who probably started supporting 2NE1 when they were only students, are now in the workforce and can afford concert tickets.
“Ati madami pa kami!! Majority are working now so may pambili na ng ticket,” they said.
On Sunday (Manila time), South Korea entertainment agency YG Entertainment shook the Internet by announcing 2NE1’s return to the music industry.

YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun Suk revealed that 2NE1’s world tour will kick off in Seoul, South Korea, in October, followed by Osaka and Tokyo in Japan in November and December.
“I think this concert will be quite special,” said Yang in Korean, translated into English. “It resonates with those who grew up with 2NE1 music, sharing those memories.”
About 2NE1
2NE1—composed of CL, Bom, Minzy and Sandara—debuted under YG Entertainment in 2009, surging to popularity with the release of their debut single “Fire.”
The single was followed by other hit songs “I Am the Best,” “Lonely,” “Come Back Home,” and “I Don’t Care,” among others.
The group released their last album “Crush” in 2014.
A year before their disbandment, 2NE1 shocked K-pop stans when they had a surprise gig at the 2015 MAMA Awards. At the time, fans only anticipated CL’s solo performance but the crowd erupted in screams when the three other 2NE1 members appeared one by one onstage to perform “Fire” and “I Am The Best.”
2NE1 reunited to mark their 15th anniversary in May, with the members posting their group photos on social media.
