Window hours in number coding scheme to be scrapped – MMDA

by Carl Santos

METRO Manila motorists should prepare for the looming termination of the number coding scheme’s window hours.

On Wednesday, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairperson Romando Artes said a resolution was approved on October 6 to lift the window hours of 10:01 a.m. to 4:59 p.m.

This means the number coding will begin at 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

No date has been set for the implementation.

At present, the number coding is at 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, except weekends and holidays. The window hours are from 10:01 a.m. to 4:59 p.m.

Makati’s number coding scheme is already at 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
