Transport terminals brace for Holy Week exodus

by Carl Santos

TRANSPORT terminals are now preparing for the influx of passengers this coming Holy Week.

Terminal managers at Ninoy Aquino International Airport asked airline representatives to ensure they were ready for the surge in passengers.

Pest control measures are also being taken in response to complaints of rats and bed bugs wandering around the terminals.

Passenger volume is also expected to pick up at seaports and expressways, according to the Philippine Ports Authority and Toll Regulatory Board.

As for the plan to provide special routes for provincial buses, the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange is awaiting feedback from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board.

Holy Week runs from March 24 to 30, 2024.
