IN THE world of tennis, where power, agility, and mental fortitude are essential, the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) continues to empower and inspire the next generation of stars through its campaigns.
One of the most recent initiatives is “Rally the World,” a campaign that not only honors the sport’s most outstanding players but also aims to raise the profile of emerging talent and break down global barriers.
The WTA has long been recognized for highlighting exciting players, and in 2025, Filipina tennis phenom Alex Eala has come into the spotlight, becoming one of the primary faces of this global promotion.

The 19-year-old tennis superstar joined a select group of the sport’s finest players from around the world, including Coco Gauff, Karolina Muchova, Meera Andriva, and Victoria Azarenka.
“To be part of the WTA’s Rally The World campaign is truly special, and I’m grateful for the opportunity,” Eala expressed her delight during an interview with the media.
“It’s amazing to see everyone come out and say what they’re passionate about and I think what’s special about the WTA is they definitely amplify our voices,” she added.
Meanwhile, Eala is humbled by the opportunity to be the only Filipina player on the WTA Tour. Furthermore, she is the first Filipina to win a junior Grand Slam title, solidifying her status as one of the country’s best players.
“Competing on tour and representing the Philippines means everything to me. Being a professional tennis player, and the only Filipina on tour, where I come from is such a big part of my identity,” she said.
Bigger than Sports
The campaign, which was launched across the WTA’s social media platforms, aims to promote women’s tennis’ global reach while also celebrating the remarkable stories of its athletes with each game they play.
“I’m so proud to be a Filipino. It’s such a privilege to be able to represent the country. My goal is to inspire young women to take up sports, to take up tennis, to do what they love, and to follow their dreams,” she said in the video.
For Eala, this moment is more than just acknowledgement; it represents her path, her growth, and the dreams of other young athletes throughout the world who aspire to make a name for themselves in sports.
Eala’s involvement in the Rally the World campaign positions her as a role model not only for young Filipino tennis players, but for girls and boys everywhere who dare to dream big.
As the 19-year-old’s career progresses, it becomes evident that her role in the Rally the World campaign is only the beginning of a bright future for her.
With all the time in the world at her fingertips, Eala is not only poised to achieve more success on the court, but also to become a prominent player in the worldwide discourse about women in sports.
