NAIA rat again

Rat surfaces again at NAIA

by Carl Santos

A RAT greeted travelers once more as they waited for their flights at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Social media users said a sprinting rat was caught on camera past midnight on Tuesday near a boarding gate at NAIA Terminal 3.

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), which manages the country’s main gateway, has been criticized since last week after some passengers suffered bites from bed bugs and a rat was spotted close to the ceiling of the pre-departure area.

The MIAA said it had intensified facility inspections and improved sanitation protocols at NAIA following the two incidents.
