PUBLIC schools nationwide will implement asynchronous classes or distance learning on Monday, April 8, the Department of Education (DepEd) announced on Sunday.
In an advisory, the DepEd said it made the decision ”to allow learners to complete pending assignments, projects, and other requirements.”
”Likewise, teaching and non-teaching personnel in all public schools shall not be required to report to their stations,” it said.
Private schools have the option to shift to asynchronous classes, the DepEd said.
There will be no classes on April 9 and 10 for the Araw ng Kagitingan and Eid’l Fitr holidays, respectively.
