Millions of students returned to schools on Tuesday following a nearly two-month break.
According to the Department of Education, a total of 22,676,964 students had already registered for the School Year 2023-2024 as of 2 p.m. on August 28.
The figure includes data from public and private schools, as well as state universities and colleges/local universities and colleges.
Region IV-A has the highest number of enrollees with 3,465,598, followed by Region III (2,586,926) and the National Capital Region (2,480,970).
The school year will end on June 14, 2024.
