MRT, LRT operations extended amid Christmas rush

METRO Manila’s rail systems will operate longer than usual from December 20 to December 23, 2023, to accommodate the influx of passengers during the Christmas rush.

Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista issued the directive on Tuesday.

“Sa pagpunta ng mga tao sa mga party, reunion at iba pang gathering, ating ipalasap ang Christmas spirit na pagbibigay ng kasiyahan sa pamamagitan ng komportable, ligtas, at maaasahang transportasyon sa mga tren,” Bautista said.

The extended last-trip schedules for MRT-3, LRT-1, and LRT-2 are as follows:

MRT-3

·      Last trip from North Avenue Station: 10:30 p.m.

·      Last trip from Taft Avenue Station: 11:05 p.m.

LRT-1

·      Last trip from Baclaran Station: 10:45 p.m.

·      Last trip from Fernando Poe Jr. Station: 11:00 p.m.

LRT-2

·      Last trip from Antipolo Station: 10:00 p.m.

·      Last trip from Recto Station: 10:30 p.m.
