PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., and Vice President Sara Duterte’s ratings dipped, according to the latest Pulse Asia survey.

It showed that Marcos’ approval rating was at 65% in September, which is far from his 80% rating in June.
Duterte’s approval rating, on the other hand, dropped to 73% in September, which lowered her previous rating of 84% in June.

“Although the President and the Vice-President continue to enjoy majority approval scores at the national level and across geographic areas and socio-economic classes, both experience significant erosions in their respective approval ratings during the period June 2023 to September 2023,” the Pulse Asia said.
According to Pulse Asia, the levels of approval for the President’s work went down in the Philippines as a whole (-15 percentage points) and likewise in other areas and classes (-14 to -15 percentage points and -12 to -29 percentage points, respectively).
On the case of Duterte, Pulse Asia said that the approval ratings dropped at the national level (-11 percentage points) as well as in Metro Manila (-12 percentage points), the rest of Luzon (-13 percentage points), Class ABC (-18 percentage points), and Class D (-11 percentage points).
Trust Ratings
Pulse Asia also said in the same survey that as far as trust ratings of the top two leaders, they were at 71% and 75%, respectively.
In June, Marcos enjoyed an 85% trust rating while Duterte scored 87%.
The said survey was done from September 10 to 14, and had 1,200 respondents.
It also carried a ± 2.8 percent error margin.
