FOLLOWING the continuous rains, the cities of Manila, San Juan, Malabon, Pasay, Quezon City, and Mandaluyong have now suspended face-to-face classes from kinder to senior high school starting at 12:00 noon.
In a Facebook post, Moreno shared a signed statement that officially suspends classes in both public and private schools.
“Simula 12:00 noon, suspendido na po ang physical/face-to-face classes sa lahat ng antas sa pampubliko at pribadong paaralan, mula Kinder hanggang Senior High School (SHS), sa Lungsod ng Maynila ngayong araw, Huwebes, 3 July 2025.” he captioned.
The Manila DDRM Office has also released a post about the yellow rainfall warning in the City of Manila.
As of 10:15 in the morning, the Manila DDRM Office stated that the city is currently experiencing light to moderate rain.
“Ang mga pag-ulan na ito ay maaaring magtagal ng dalawa hanggang tatlong oras (2-3 hours) at inaasahang huhupa bago magtanghali.” they wrote.
Aside from the City of Manila, the City of San Juan had also announced class suspension.
“Classes in all levels, in both public and private schools in the City of San Juan, are hereby suspended starting 12:00 noon today to ensure the safety of our students and staff.” Francis Zamora wrote on the caption.
The city of Malabon had also announced its class suspension through a Facebook post by Mayor Jeannie Sandoval.
Pasay City has also suspended all classes at all levels from both public and private schools as recommended by the Pasay City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
Further class suspensions were also announced in Quezon City.
Mandaluyong City has also announced class suspensions that include all class levels.
