THE low pressure area (LPA) located at the northern tip of Luzon has now developed into tropical depression Emong, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In the 8:00 am advisory by the PAGASA, tropical depression Emong was spotted at 105 kilometers inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) that is located west of the Babuyan Islands.
Tropical Depression Emong has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gusts of 55 kph, moving west-southwest at 35 kilometers per hour.
Meanwhile, other weather disturbance Dante has intensified and developed into a Tropical Storm.
Dante was seen 880 kilometers East of Extreme Northern Luzon with the wind of 66 kilometers per hour and gusts of 80 kilometers per hour, moving north-northwest at 15 kilometers per hour.
Another low-pressure area located at 2,340 kilometers East of Eastern Visayas was spotted.
According to PAGASA, this LPA has a high potential of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
On Facebook, PAGASA released a weather advisory post for Tropical Cyclone Emong and the Southwest Monsoon.
In the latest advisory released by PAGASA at 11:00 am, the area of Zambales is now placed at red rainfall warning, with areas of Bataan, Pampanga, Metro Manila, Cavite, and portions of Bulacan and Tarlac being placed on orange rainfall warning.

Batangas, Rizal, Laguna, and portions of Tarlac and Bulacan are placed in yellow.
Ilocos Norte, and portions of Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan are now placed in signal no. 1.
