COINCIDING with women’s day, the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) will be offering free rides to female passengers on Saturday, March 8.
In a statement, MRT-3 said the free rides for women will be available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
According to MRT-3 general manager Engr. Oscar Bongon the free ride offer is their way of acknowledging and thanking women for their role in society.
“Ang libreng sakay po ay simpleng paraan ng MRT-3 upang maipakita ang suporta sa bawat Juana at mabigyang-pugay ang kanilang mga sakripisyo para sa kanilang mga pamilya,” Bongon said.
“Nawa ay magdulot ito ng kahit kaunting kaginhawaan sa kanila sa kanilang espesyal na araw,” he added.
Likewise, the MRT-3 management also said that they wil be giving away some special Women’s Month tokens to female passengers.
Aside from MRT-3, the Light Rail Transit 2 (LRT-2) will also offer free haircuts for all female passengers on Women’s Day.
