CLASSES and work are suspended on August 26, 2025 in 15 areas in the country including Metro Manila, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said Monday afternoon.
This is due to the expected heavy rains that may be experienced tomorrow due to the intensified southwest monsoon, locally known as Habagat.
A low pressure area near the country is intensifying the habagat, according to PAGASA.
The DILG said the classes in all levels public and private as well as government work is suspended in the following areas: Metro Manila, Aurora, Quezon, Rizal, Laguna, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Masbate, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Leyte and Southern Leyte.
The DILG also included later on Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Batangas and Cavite.
