PERHAPS the world’s biggest display of religious devotion, the Quiapo Church had made public, the activities lined up for the upcoming celebration of the Feast of the Black Nazarene.
According to their official social media post, among the activities include:
- December 31, 2024 | Walk of Thanksgiving: will start at 12:00 midnight (evening of December 30, Assembly)
- January 1 – 6, 2025 | Barangay Visitation: A Basic Ecclessial Community – Quiapo District
- January 2, 2025 | Thursday: starts at 1:30 p.m. – Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno Replica & Standarte Blessing
For activities at the Quirino Grandstand:
- January 6, 2025 | Monday: A 6:00 p.m. mass for the Volunteers
- January 7 – 9, 2025 | Pahalik
- January 8, 2025 | Wednesday: it will start with a 3:00 p.m. Band Parade followed by a 5:00 p.m. Panalangin sa Takipsilim
A Vigil and Program will be held on January 9, 2025, Thursday
Come midnight, a Misa Mayor will be held then at 1:00 a.m. the Continuation of Vigil and Program – Panalangin sa Bukang-liwayway
As part of the yearly celebration of the Feast of the Black Nazarene on January 9, the Traslacion, which is the procession of the 400-year-old black image of Jesus Christ will make its way from the Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Church in Manila.
The Quiapo Church previously reported that as many as 6.5 million people participated in the Nazareno 2024.
