PBBM: SONA preps during habagat an ‘unfortunate misjudgment’

by Kiko Cueto

PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., said that the move of the Department of Public Works and Highways to have preparations during the fourth State of the Nation Address next week is an ”unfortunate misjudgment.”

”Hindi na nasabi, baha na nga bakit pa kayo maglalagay diyan? Paubaya niyo na muna yan, ayusin niyo muna ‘yung ating response sa Crising… that is an unfortunate misjudgement on their part… I trust that it would not happen anymore,” Marcos said when interviewed in Washington D.C.

According to the President, even he was dismayed by the act, as he said that it was was ”highly inappropriate.”

It will be recalled that Marcos Jr., has tasked that all SONA-related preparations should be ceased as the DPWH and other concerned agencies should instead concentrate or put efforts instead to the flood response and relief operations for those affected by the torrential rains and floods.

Earlier the DPWH personnel placed tarpaulins of the President with regards to his upcoming SONA despite heavy rains and floods across the metro.
