ARE we expecting a cold, wet Christmas?
STATE Weather forecasters warned of a possible weather disturbance that may form outside the country.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Service (PAGASA), the said weather disturbance could enter the Philippine area of responsibility about a week before Christmas.
The said weather system, according to PAGASA, has a low to moderate chance of developing into a tropical cyclone.
It could graze the eastern sections of Mindanao, Visayas, and Southern Luzon.
Once it enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility, it will be named Querubin.
From October to November, some six storms struck the Philippines.
It left 171 people dead and thousands homeless, wiping out crops and livestock.
Some 20 storms and typhoons enter the PAR, victimizing scores of people.
