PAGASA: Bring an umbrella

by Kiko Cueto

THE country’s state weather bureau said that parts of the country will experience rain due to the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat even as a low pressure area (LPA) is enhancing it.

According to PAGASA, the LPA was located some 975 km east of Southeastern Luzon.

The storm is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte.

But PAGASA warned that the LPA has a chance of developing into a tropical depression.

Once it does it will be named Crising.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila, MIMAROPA, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Zambales, Bataan, the rest of Visayas, and the rest of Mindanao are also expected to have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms brought about by the Southwest Monsoon.

The remaining parts of Luzon will likewise experience rains as the habagat will be ushering in the Southwest Monsoon.
