THE National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said that they are now investigating reports of two deaths and 10 injured persons in Central Visayas due to the intense rains brought about by the southwest monsoon that was intensified by Typhoon Enteng.
According to the initial situation report from the NDRRMC, the reported deaths and missing persons are still being validated.
A total of 14 families or 63 persons were reprtedly affected. Of which, 9 families or 43 persons were served inside an evacuation center and 5 families or 20 persons were served outside the evacuation centers.
Meanwhile, 14 seaports were affected. 12 of them are in Bicol and 2 in Calabarzon.
A total of 10 houses were damaged. 1 partially, and 9 totally destroyed.

On the other hand, the National Capital Regional Police Office had stated that they are ready to assist residents in Metro Manila for rescue and relief operations.
“I would like to assure the public that the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is fully prepared and mobilized to respond to the challenges brought about by Tropical Storm “Enteng,” NCRPO Chief PM Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr said.
Nartatez said that they have strategically deployed 434 PNP personnel across key areas to ensure the safety and security of our communities.
This includes 20 officers assigned to evacuation centers, where they are providing assistance to displaced individuals and families.
“Additionally, 261 of our officers are securing vital installations to maintain order and protect critical infrastructure. Our traffic management personnel, totaling 173, are also actively working to ensure that roads remain clear and safe, despite the adverse weather conditions,” he said.
“In addition, our Search, Rescue, and Retrieval units, comprising 597 highly trained personnel, are on high alert and ready to respond to any emergencies, including search and rescue operations. We are also in close coordination with local government units and the NDRRMC to monitor the situation at 575 evacuation centers, where 233 individuals and 75 families are currently taking shelter,” he added.
