THE National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said that the number of reported dead due to tropical cyclones Kristine and Leon is now at 151.
According to the 8 a.m. situation report of the NDRRMC, it said that 21 people were reported missing and 134 people were reported injured.
Meanwhile, the number of people affected by the storms is at 8,847,888 individuals or 2,249,345 families, spread across 17 regions.
Most of them were reported in Bicol with 3,125,952 affected persons, followed by Calabarzon with 1,230,663 and Central Luzon with 1,092,915.
The damage to agriculture is estimated at P5,913,505,507, while for infrastructure it is pegged at P8,247,425,268.
For irrigation facilities the estimated damage was at P1,032,188,000.
On the other hand, assistance worth P1,193,209,396 has been given to the victims so far, according to the NDRRMC.
Meanwhile, Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 is hoisted over 12 areas in Luzon as Marce intensified into a typhoon on Tuesday.
Among the areas include: Batanes; Cagayan including Babuyan Islands; Isabela; Ilocos Norte; Apayao; Abra; Kalinga; Mountain Province; Ifugao; The northern portion of Nueva Vizcaya (Diadi, Bagabag, Ambaguio, Villaverde, Bayombong, Solano, Quezon, Kasibu); The northern portion of Quirino (Diffun, Saguday, Cabarroguis, Aglipay, Maddela); The northern portion of Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, Dinalungan)
