NDRRMC: 12 dead, Infra and Agri damage at P2.33 B to three storms

THE National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said that more than 3.5 million Filipinos were affected by Storms Nika, Ofel and Pepito.

Likewise, in their latest situation report, a total of 12 deaths had been reported. Some 14 were injured and 3 missing.

Of the said number, five fatalities and 11 injured had been validated.

On the other hand, 3,507,920 persons of 939,936 families were affected. Of the said number, 84,913 families or 300,953 persons are inside 2,331 evacuation centers, and 36,974 families or 128,899 persons that were outside evacuation centers.

A total of 541 road sections and 120 bridges were affected. 

The estimated cost of damage to infrastructure is now at P2,032,677,190. While for agriculture, it is estimated at P29,507,934.91.

A total of 29 cities/municipalities were declared under the State of Calamity.

Some P226,782,311.473 in assistance were provided to those affected by the storms.
