THE DISCAYAS, once hailed as a family of rising business figures, now face intense public and political scrutiny for flaunting their wealth amid ongoing probes into questionable flood control initiatives in the Philippines.
Following President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s latest State of the Nation Address, the Discaya family has been entangled in accusations of rigged bidding processes and nonexistent flood control projects—linked to nine construction firms under their control.
Among these firms are Alpha & Omega, St. Gerrard, St. Timothy, Great Pacific, and others, which secured hundreds of contracts from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), amounting to billions of pesos.
On Monday, September 1, 2025, during a Senate hearing, Discaya admitted to owning around 40 vehicles—28 of which are luxury cars used personally, with the rest assigned as service vehicles.

In front of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, she was asked to list the luxury cars her family currently owns, naming elite brands that stunned senators—particularly when she detailed 12 ultra-luxury vehicles:
Rolls-Royce – P42 million
Mercedes Maybach – P22 million
Bentley – P20 million
Mercedes-AMG G 63 – P20 million
Cadillac Escalade (White) – P11 million
Cadillac Escalade (Black) – P8 million
GMC SUVs (2) – P11 million
Chevrolet Suburban (Second-Hand) – P3 million
Range Rover Autobiography – P16 million
Land Rover Defender – P7 million
Range Rover Evoque – P5 million
BOC Secures Vehicles
All 12 luxury vehicles listed in the search warrant have now been located in Pasig, after only two were initially found on Tuesday morning, September 2, during a court-ordered operation.
Bureau of Customs (BOC) Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno confirmed Tuesday night that seven of the vehicles were voluntarily turned over to the bureau and are now secured within the compound of St. Gerrard Construction General Contractor and Development Corp.
These include a Rolls-Royce, Bentley Bentayga, Mercedes-Benz G-500, Mercedes AMG G 63, Toyota Tundra, Toyota Sequoia, and a Cadillac Escalade, along with the first two recovered earlier—the Toyota LC300 3.3 V6 ZX AT SUV 2024 and a Maserati Levante Modena 2022.
Nepomuceno added that the remaining three—a 2022 GMC Yukon Denali SUV and two 2024 Lincoln Navigator L units—are currently undergoing repairs at authorized service centers and will be turned over to the BOC afterward.
The Discayas’ legal counsel, Atty. Cornelio Samaniego III, also clarified that there was no intent to conceal the vehicles when BOC agents conducted the search on Monday morning.
“Ginagamit ho kasi yung ibang sasakyan, yung iba naman for maintenance. ‘Yung iba naman nalagay sa ibang lugar kasi preemptive measure sila dahil nagbabaha dito sa Pasig,” Samaniego said. “Bakit itatago eh legal ang mga ‘yun.”
Amid the ongoing probe into the projects, a video featuring the couple went viral, showcasing their collection of luxury vehicles. Just days after, the Discayas were identified as among the top contractors awarded flood control project contracts in recent years.
