Foreign Vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetskiy Now Under BJMP Custody

by Rescel Ocampo

THE controversial Russian Youtuber Vitaly Zdorovetskiy has been transferred to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), the Bureau of Immigration (BI) confirmed on Monday, June 16.

He will remain there until the cases against him are resolved.

Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado revealed that Zdorovetskiy had requested to be released on bail, but the BI did not grant it.

“This is not just a matter of administrative procedure— it is about protecting the integrity of our immigration laws,” said Viado.

“Foreign nationals who abuse our hospitality and violate our laws must face the consequences. The bureau is resolute: we will not allow our deportation process to be undermined by publicity tactics or legal maneuvering. No special treatment will be given,” he said.

In a document submitted to the Bureau of Immigration, Zdorovetskiy asserted that he has no plans to evade deportation and vowed to remain within the National Capital Region.

He also expressed willingness to voluntarily surrender to BI custody should a deportation order be issued.

The BI, meanwhile, emphasized that foreign nationals who disrupt public order will face deportation in accordance with Philippine law.

“…the Bureau will ensure that foreign violators are held accountable, processed swiftly, and removed from the country as warranted,” said Viado.
