Face Mask again mandatory in Quezon Province

by Kiko Cueto

WITH the rise of flu-like cases in the province, the Quezon Provincial Government said that wearing of face masks indoors and outdoors is again mandatory.

Likewise they said that the mandatory wearing of face masks for indoor and outdoor areas where physical distancing is not implemented, should be undertaken to avoid the spread of COVID-19 and influenza-like illnesses (ILI).

Based on an executive order, the LGU said that the mandatory wearing is in light of the rise in illnesses such as colds, cough, and pneumonia.

It also ordered individuals with symptoms such as colds, sore throat, or fever to immediately isolate, while testing remains optional.

They also called on the public to update their flu and pneumococcal vaccines and to continue observing proper hygiene and minimum public health standards.
