STATE weather forecasters said that one of the three low pressure areas that they are monitoring in the Philippine area of responsibility is now tropical depression Dante.
According to PAGASA, ‘Dante’ was spotted 1,130 km east of Northern Luzon.
It packed winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gusts up to 55 kph.
Presently, it is moving north northwestward at 20 kph.
PAGASA said that it is not expected to make landfall. However, it will enhance the southwest monsoon or Habagat until friday.
State weather forecasters said that they do not expect any wind signals to be raised.
However, it will continue to enhance the Habagat and will bring rainfall over Luzon and some parts of Visayas.
On the other hand, torrential rains may be expected over Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and Metro Manila.
