Crising now out of the Philippine territory but heavy rains storm signals still up

CRISING, now a severe tropical storm, has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility but will continue to pull the southwest monsoon or in the Filipino dialect ‘habagat.’

According to the latest report from PAGASA, the storm has strengthened as it barrels towards China

It is expected to bring heavy rainfall over the northernmost part of Luzon.

Orange Rainfall

The National Disaster Risk Reduction had declared an orange rainfall warning in Metro Manila, Cavite and the Province of Rizal before noon.

It indicates heavy to intense rainfall, typically between 15 mm and 30 mm within one hour, and expected to continue for the next two hours

PAGASA last monitored Crisingat 125 km west northwest of Calayan, Cagayan.

The severe tropical storm is heading west northwestward at 25 kph, packing sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 105 kph.

Meanwhile Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 is still up in: Batanes, Northern portion of Cagayan (Santa Praxedes, Claveria, Sanchez-Mira, Pamplona, Abulug, Ballesteros, Santa Ana, Gonzaga, Santa Teresita, Buguey, Aparri, Camalaniugan, Allacapan, Lal-Lo, Lasam, Rizal, Santo Niño, Gattaran, Alcala) including Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Northern and central portions of Apayao (Calanasan, Luna, Pudtol, Kabugao, Flora, Santa Marcela) and the Northeastern portion of Abra (Tineg, Lagayan).

Meanwhile Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 is in The rest of Cagayan, the northern portion of Isabela (Mallig, Divilacan, Quirino, Gamu, Ilagan City, Burgos, San Manuel, Roxas, San Mateo, Aurora, Luna, Cabatuan, Reina Mercedes, Naguilian, Santa Maria, San Pablo, Maconacon, Cabagan, Tumauini, Delfin Albano, Quezon, Santo Tomas), the rest of Apayao, the rest of Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Northern portion of Benguet (Bakun, Mankayan, Buguias, Kibungan, Kabayan, Atok, Kapangan), Ilocos Sur, Northern portion of La Union (Bangar, Sudipen, Luna, Balaoan, Santol, San Gabriel, Bacnotan, City of San Fernando, San Juan, Bagulin)
