NERI Naig-Miranda, actress, businesswoman and wife of Parokya ni Edgar lead singer Chito Miranda was arrested over allegations of estafa and violation of the Securities Regulation Code.
The reported arrest according to ABS-CBN News came after the Southern Police District (SPD) had said over the weekend that they arrested a 41-year-old actress and businesswoman, alias “Erin.”
The incident was reported at a convention center in a mall in Pasay City on Saturday.
“Erin” was listed as the 7th most wanted person at the station level.
The SPD said that this was reportedly due to the 14 counts of violating the Securities Regulation Code.
Likewise, the SPD said that the warrant of arrest was issued by the Pasay City Regional Trial Court (RTC) branch 111 on September 18, 2024 and October 16, 2024.
A bail bond of P126,000 for each count of securities violation was meted by the court.
However, the actress is also reportedly facing a separate case of estafa before the RTC Branch 112.
There was a commitment order that had been issued against her, with no bail recommended.
