AS far as Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos is concerned, fugitive pastor Apollo Quiboloy is very much still hiding inside the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound in Davao City.
According to the DILG secretary there is a strong indication to which the KOJC founder is still inside.
“Without compromising ‘yung operations ng police, malakas ang indication na nandoon, in fact madami na kaming tao at mga makina doon para mahanap siya both above ground and underground,” Abalos said.
Likewise, Abalos said that the Davao Regional Trial Court Branch 15 issued protection order does not affect their operations.
The camp of the fugitive pastor sought the court after police personnel trooped to the area to serve the warrant of arrest against the pastor.
Abalos said that the Court did not order the police to leave.
“What is important is that this is a court process at ang sinasabi sa pulis, hanapin ninyo si Quiboloy so hahanapin namin talaga siya and there are all indications that shows that Quiboloy is in that area,” Abalos said.
He then reiterated his call for Quiboloy to surrender and face the charges filed against him.
“Kung talagang wala siyang kasalanan, harapin niya ito at huwag siya dapat matakot, ‘yun lang para matapos na po lahat ito. Just face the court,” Abalos said.
Some 2,000 police officers trooped to the KOJC compound in Davao to serve the warrant against Quiboloy, who is facing charges under Section 5(b) and Section 10(a) of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.
Quiboloy is also facing a non-bailable qualified human trafficking charge under Section 4(a) of Republic Act No. 9208, as amended, before a Pasig court.
