by Kiko Cueto

As many people celebrate a white Christmas, for people in the NCR, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, and parts of MIMAROPA are having a rainy Christmas due to a shear line.

A shear line is formed when the cool northeast monsoon (Amihan) converges with the warm and moist Easterlies from the Pacific.

This results in thick clouds and persistent rainfall.

It extended to Samar and southern Central Luzon.

According to the state weather bureau, heavy rainfall warnings are being experienced with:

  • Orange Warning: Camarines Norte
