DOGS, frequently referred to as man’s best friend, have a profound and unrivaled love and devotion for their owners. This loyalty may be expressed in a variety of ways.
Some dogs demonstrate this by faithfully following their owners, welcoming them with joy, or protecting them even if it means risking their lives… just like this Shih Tzu in Bacolod, who gave its life for the protection of its owners.
According to the owners’ statement to GMA News, the small dog saved their lives by barking relentlessly to warn them of the danger that awaited them: a snake that got inside their house.

The Shih Tzu named Zee was sleeping next to his owner. On an early Sunday morning, he barked nonstop after discovering the snake under their bed.
The household members were alerted by the dog’s barking and discovered the snake as well. They immediately called the barangay to ask for assistance in capturing the snake.
The barangay officials successfully caught the snake and turned it over to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
Venomous snakes can inject venom through their fangs, resulting in a variety of unpleasant effects. This makes it preferable for them to just submit the snake to the relevant department.
When a dog is bitten by a venomous snake, the venom spreads quickly through their system, disrupting essential organs and physical functions.
The intensity of the symptoms is determined by a variety of factors, including the type of snake, the amount of venom administered, and the dog’s size and condition.
Unfortunately, Zee died after being bitten by the snake.
Dogs are more than simply pets; they are cherished companions, loyal pals and treasured family members. When they depart from our lives, they leave an emptiness that cannot be filled by anything else.
The pain of losing a dog is tremendous, overwhelming and unparalleled in depth. Zee’s owners lament the death of a loyal pet, but the fur baby will be remembered for its incredible bravery in the face of peril.
